About The Role

As an End User Support Specialist in our brand new Regional Hub / Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, you will have the opportunity to play a role in providing advanced technical support for issues escalated from the Service Desk that cannot be resolved remotely. You will perform onsite support tasks, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems, ensuring seamless IT operations and high user satisfaction.

 

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Respond to and resolve complex technical issues escalated from the Service Desk that require onsite intervention
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting and repair for hardware, software, and network problems, which included pc, printer, telephony, CCTV and etc
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications
  • Provide hands-on support for issues related to user accounts, access permissions, and system performance
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk and other IT teams to address and resolve recurring technical problems
  • Document and track issues, solutions, and service requests in the company's ticketing system
  • Assist in the deployment and setup of new hardware and software systems
  • Support IT asset management, including inventory control and equipment maintenance
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance IT support services

In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders across the business including our Global functions teams in Netherlands & other parts of the world.

Our Regional Hub supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed. (However, this role will need you to be fully in office / on-site, working from 9AM to 6PM, travel might be required)

You will be joining a newly formed Shared Services Centre team, with opportunities to grow, within Service Desk or wider IT functions.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 3 – 5 years of proven experience in a similar end user support role, particularly handling complex issues requiring onsite resolution
  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting, repair, and installation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex issues
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL) are advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively in a startup environment

  • This position may include travel to other company locations
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours may be required to accommodate urgent support needs

Language

  • Good written and spoken English is essential
  • A proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean and/or Thai as well as other Asian languages will be an added advantage, however not mandatory

Qualification / Education

  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or any other disciplines
