POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is a Global Network Lead (GNL) role for Procurement Excellence. As such, is in charge of build a network between regions, set (jointly) with the regions standards and encourage and facilitate inter regional activities aiming to ensure continuous improvement of the Procurement processes, their performance measurement and management. Builds the global network of functional excellence and functional alignment for what concern Procurement.

 

Main objective of this position is to ensure Regions are geared with standardized processes and measurement tools, and trained, to improve Procurement Performances. Ensure their full transparency. follow up on correctness & effectiveness of execution. Ensure regions plan and execute cost reduction plans and their transparency. Provide active support to regions.. 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities are:

  • Procurement GBPO: Define/Optimize PDCA procurement processes (Including but not limited to P2P), ensure training & support to regions for their execution. Ensure standard Templates (including Contracts) are made available to regions jointly with Legal Council and provide support to regions in amendments or specific case.
  • Procurement Performance: Define standardized performance Metrics and Measurement Systems, for Procurement. Ensure their full visibility and transparency and follow up on correctness of execution and effectiveness. Ensure, and actively support each region in deploy dedicated resources for an effective execution, development & performance improvement.
  • Work on the digital transformation of procurement:
    • Create a long-term roadmap;
    • Boost digital transformation of Procurement processes: design, validate and implement in close cooperation with your procurement colleagues and internal stakeholders
    • Upgrade KPI dashboards and relevant procurement reporting;
    • Maintain and ensure compliance to Procurement policies and procedures
    • Increase data-drivenness of procurement and their sourcing decisions
  • Cost Reduction: Ensure regions elaborate and execute Cost Reduction Plans, ensure their full transparency, follow up and consolidate on their effectiveness
  • Supplier Relationship: Orchestrate global suppliers agreement framework. Support Regions in Maintaining robust supplier relationships,
  • Procurement Strategy: Ensure that each region define a Regional Supplier Strategy board who Design a cost-effective sourcing strategy, and follow up on its execution and effectiveness. As part of the Group Supplier Strategy board, ensure critical perspective on the regional strategies in seeking wider opportunity or highlight overlooked risks as well as reviewing and counterbalancing their interdependencies.
  • Procurement Risk Management: Ensure risk management framework is established in each region and follow up on effectiveness in each region”
  • Support Regions: Actively support regions next to them in front of specific cases, as well act as facilitator in inter-regional Procurement related topics.
  • Facilitate Alignment: Ensure continuous alignment and active systematic interactions are kept between all regional stakeholder in Procurement, as well lessons learned and best practice sharing.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Travelling: the position requires availability to travel at suppliers, our own plants, our own Regions for specific projects, continuous improvement, problem solving, training, best practices sharing, procurement related events.
  • Educational Level: Master degree in in Economics, Commercial Engineering or Engineering or a bachelor degree with experience
  • Professional Experience:
    • 5-8 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices;
    • Direct and proven experiences in any of the following is preferred: sourcing, supplier management roles, with a track record of driving procurement excellence, cost savings, and value creation, core cost engineering, design to cost, functional analysis, specifications improvements, collaborative business development
    • Mastered in any of the 64 Procurement Chessboard methods is preferable
    • Preferable a procurement project or procurement transformation background
  • Leadership Level: Leading Others
  • Network Leadership:
    • Demonstrated strong ability in pro-actively create and feed a network of peers in each region for what pertain to Procurement and Supply Chain Processes and Performances, and gradually take its lead, though not having any reporting line with them (not straight, nor dotted)
    • Relationship builder, strong interpersonal & communication skills
    • High emotional intelligence is welcome
  • Communication:
    • Demonstrated strong ability to interact and communicate in English, including demonstrable writing, speaking, and comprehension skills;
    • Strong ability to communicate efficiently and effectively across different levels and disciplines within the organization.
    • Demonstrated strong abilities to act as facilitator in problem solving between different sites and different cultures
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Power BI dashboard use as well as capabilities in create its own dashboards is preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking and assertiveness, ability to work in a team, flexibility
  • You are highly creative and interested in establishing new approaches to create value and establish new solutions to business related questions.
  • You have a strong perseverance in overcoming hurdles.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experienced in digital transformation of Procurement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis and reporting, Word for contract and document management, and PowerPoint for effective communication and presentation.
