HR Services Payroll Team Leader

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Payroll Team Leader is an integral part of the HR Shared Services team at Hyva, responsible for leading the payroll team and overseeing payroll, pension, leave, insurance, and other related processes within his/her designated scope. This position supports both local- and Business Unit management and cooperates with HR Business Partners and the HR Centre of Excellence.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the HR Services Payroll team, ensuring efficient and effective handling of payroll inquiries and related administrative tasks.
  • Ensure consistent execution of HR policies within the team and countries of his/her scope
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a uniform way of working in line with global HR Services policies and procedures.
  • Monitor, oversee and advise on internal policies in line with changes in labor laws and regulations.
  • Represent HR Services during HR related audits.
  • Maintains GDPR regulations.
  • Oversees and is responsible for the outsourced end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Oversee the payroll processing activities and manage related vendors to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Oversees and manages employee insurances, absence management and pension for his/her designated countries in line with global HR Services policies and procedures.
  • Handle complex outsourced payroll issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Maintains local GDPR regulations.
  • Guide and support employees on payroll-related enquiries and requests.
  • Provide first-line payroll support within the HR Shared Services payroll team.
  • Maintain and advise on payroll-related HR processes and policies.
  • Ensure these processes and policies are compliant with international laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of payroll data in HRIS systems and other HR-related software and locations.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners to ensure employees follow all HR policies and procedures related to payroll.
  • Manage the information influx for international payroll, pension and insurance updates to countries within his/her designation.
  • Provide guidance and support on payroll matters to HR and other departments.
  • Use KPIs to drive continuous improvement in payroll processes and services.
  • Assist the HR Services Delivery Manager with HR Services related projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business administration, management science or other related discipline, or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, multi-tasking and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills (multilingual preferred
