POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

As a Customer Service Specialist for Hydraulic Components, you will be the primary point of contact for customers. You will provide exceptional service by handling inquiries, processing orders, offering product information, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of hydraulic solutions. Your technical knowledge and customer-focused approach will be essential in building long-term relationships and supporting business growth.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the first line of support for customers via phone, email, and in-person (if applicable).
  • Provide expert advice on hydraulic components, systems, and product availability.
  • Process sales orders, quotations, returns, and delivery follow-ups in the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with technical, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate customer support.
  • Track orders and proactively update customers on status, delays, or alternatives.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain customer records and service logs to support business continuity.
  • Support field sales representatives by preparing offers, managing documentation, and organizing logistics.
  • Stay up to date with hydraulic industry trends, product updates, and company offerings.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a customer service, technical support, or inside sales role
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic components and systems (e.g., pumps, valves, motors, cylinders).
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch, (French), and English.
  • Familiarity with ERP and Microsoft Office systems
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering or related field is a plus.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment.
  • Reliable, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
