POSITION OVERVIEW
The Global Financial Analyst is part of the Group Accounting Team and is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely Group financial information and analyzing financial data considering company’s goals and financial standing. This also includes ensuring transparent, efficient and compliant financial reporting that meets the requirements of a large, listed group of companies.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a Business Partner to senior management, enhancing the Planning & Control Cycle and providing ad hoc analyses.
- Update Group accounting guidelines annually per IFRS.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, guiding the Finance community.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Improve Finance function efficiency by identifying and initiating improvements.
- Implement efficient processes and modern IT systems for financial reporting and consolidation.
- Maintain and improve the Internal Control Framework.
- Participate in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data, considering company goals.
- Prepare and review consolidation journals for group reporting.
- Maintain the group consolidation system.
- Ensure global compliance with accounting standards and financial reporting policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Integrate new subsidiaries into consolidated financial statements.
- Track financial status by analyzing actual results vs. forecasts.
- Support subsidiaries in preparing financial statements using COGNOS Controller and OneStream.
- Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking, and process analysis.
- Assemble and summarize data for sophisticated financial reports.
- Provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role, preferably in a large, listed company.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with financial reporting and consolidation.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to improve financial processes and systems, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in developing financial models, conducting benchmarking, and providing strategic recommendations.
