Product Engineer - Container Handling

Hyva offers a wide range of technical products and components, mainly used in connection with hydraulic loading and unloading systems on trucks and trailers for the road transportation industry in on- and off-road applications. Product and Applications Engineer

Location: Ricany, Czech Republic

Product and applications engineer.

You will be working in close cooperation with a team of engineers in the Netherlands and Italy. It is expected that the engineer to participate in every level of the system design. The engineer will be involved in all facets of engineering and in a wide range of activities for support manufacturing, testing and after-sales. You are prepared to travel occasionally to meet key customers, suppliers and the Hyva factories in Italy, China, India, Brazil and Germany. You will report to the Head of Product Development and management.

1. Product Engineering:

• Work within the Research and Development team to further develop and optimize Hyva's hook loader range.
• Conduct analysis for a wide variety of engineering challenges related to hook loaders.
• Participate in all facets of system design and engineering activities.
• Collaborate with engineers in Alphen aan den Rijn, Hoogeveen, and Italy to ensure seamless communication and teamwork.
• Support manufacturing, testing, and after-sales processes to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Occasional travel to meet with key customers, suppliers, and Hyva factories in Italy, China, India, Brazil, and Germany.

1. Applications Engineering:

• Utilize expertise to increase sales through customer value creation by ensuring optimal product performance in various applications.
• Support the pre-sales process by assisting Sales and customers in defining the best product selection and system solutions for their operations.
• Develop Trailer Win concepts and offer drawings using AutoCAD.
• Provide input to R&D for continuous product improvement and year model upgrades;
• Ensure evaluation and integration of customer feedback;
• Ensure timely provision of accurate product information to support sales efforts;
• Responsible for the management of various documentation materials, such as construction guidelines, project files and technical manuals

 Professional qualification and experience:  

• Technical education Bachelor required, Master or PhD in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Automotive Engineering or similar education, highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Hydraulics/Electrical/Pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of Electronics and controls.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar products  
• knowledge of engineering techniques like QFD, DFA, DFM, DFMEA, ECR, FEA, 3D-CAD (Inventor)
• Fluent English (verbal and writing)
